Harvard Model Congress Asia 2018
The Harvard Model Congress Asia (HMCA) is a global conference where international students of high school age (14 – 18) learn and experience government while playing the roles of officials in the United States government and several international political bodies.
In January 2018, AJC sent a delegation of 12 students, who had to craft bills responding to challenging real-world political issues, in committees like the CIA, UNHRC, ASEAN and the US Senate. Our students also interacted with their fellow delegates from schools all around the world, exchanging stories and learning from one another's experiences.
Over the course of five hectic days in Hong Kong, our students made speeches, drafted bills, explored the Hong Kong University campus in business attire, made friends, and learnt a great deal.
Hiwase Harsh Parag from 15/17 did us proud as he received the Honourable Mention Award.
