Direct School Admission (DSA-JC) Exercise 2018
Anderson Serangoon Junior College welcomes students with talent in various fields to apply for entry to the college through Direct School Admission (DSA). For more information on DSA, please refer to MOE DSA-JC website.

1) CCA Talent
We are looking for students with talent in the following areas:

  • Achievements/Awards in National/Regional/International Competitions

Performing Arts
  • Chinese Orchestra
  • Choir
  • Contemporary Dance
  • Symphonic Band
  • TLDDS (Dance and Debate)
  • Achievements/Awards in SYF/ International Competitions
  • Achievements in Music/Dance Examinations
  • Commendable performance at audition
Club and Societies
  • Project Eureka (Science Research)
  • Participation in long term science research programmes, of at least 4 weeks, with tertiary institutions / A*STAR Research Institutes etc.
  • Good knowledge in programming
  • Participation in cluster/zonal/national/international science research based competitions. Priority will be given to applicants who have won top awards (e.g. Gold, Silver, Bronze) in these competitions
  • Good performance in Mathematics and Science subjects

2) Application Procedure
The online application form can be found here.
Applicants are requested to submit the online application form by Friday 6 July 2018.

Update on 3 August 2018:
Interested applicants for Basketball Boys, Chinese Orchestra, Choir, Shooting and Symphonic Band may submit the application form by 12 August 2018. Applicants who have previously submitted applications but are not offered a place need not submit new applications for Phase 2 as all applications will automatically be considered for both Phase 1 and 2. The online application form can be found here.
Please note that all trials/auditions are by invitation only, based on application forms submitted by candidates. There will not be open trials/audition.

Prepare the following:
All 12 major scales (2 octaves), where applicable; varying articulations may be tested. For percussionists: scales on mallet percussion.
2 contrasting etudes, concertos or studies. Band excerpts are not encouraged. For percussionists: one on snare drum and the other on either mallet percussion or timpani.

1. 2-3 minutes dance performance

Note: All trials/auditions are held in Anderson Junior College unless otherwise stated.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for the auditions/selection trials. 

Applicants who passed the auditions/selection trials will be invited for a short interview.

Students who are successful in their DSA application will be informed via email or phone.
