Yale-NUS Asia Pacific Model UN 2016

STANDING UP FOR WHAT WE BELIEVE IN
A group of budding diplomats from our college attended the Yale-NUS Asia Pacific Model UN Conference at Yale-NUS College from January 22-24 this year.

"The Yale-NUS Asia Pacific Model UN Conference is a premier conference that bases its success on high standards of academics and debate using the Model United Nations framework. It hopes to inspire students to stand up and effect change in the world tomorrow through rigorous discourse and debate today; to inspire them to build a more peaceful, progressive and prosperous future for themselves, and generations to come."

Our students represented the nations of Saudi Arabia, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco and Cuba when practicing the subtle art of international diplomacy (and making the occasional fiery speech!). It was a hectic but rewarding weekend that ended on a high note with a dialogue session with Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan, and a party at the Gardens by the Bay afterwards!
